Parents & FAQ
Clear answers on safety, ages, batches, certificates and fees.
Small batches
8–12 learners, so every child gets bench time with the trainer.
Safe by design
Low-voltage work, supervised soldering, verified trainers.
Something to show
Every course ends in a project your child built and can explain.
Is it safe for children?
Yes — safety is built into every course. Students work at 12 V or below; mains/AC is taught as theory and a trainer demo only. Soldering uses goggles, fume extraction and lead-free solder, and under-14s solder only under direct supervision with at most 4 at the bench. All trainers are police-verified and follow a child-safeguarding policy.
What age can my child start?
- Ages 10–12: EC-02 Arduino & Robotics for Beginners (Junior batch)
- Age 12+ (Class 7+): EC-01 Basic Electronics
- Ages 13–15: EC-02 Senior batch
- Each other course lists a minimum age (13+ to 17+).
Younger than 10? Try the Coro books (ages 6–10).
How big are batches and how often are classes?
8–12 learners per batch (EC-02 up to 10, with an assistant). Every course runs 2 sessions a week — weekday evenings or weekend mornings. A batch runs once at least 8 learners have paid; if not, you can move to the next batch or get a full refund.
What certificate will my child get?
An EmptyCore Certificate of Completion for 80%+ attendance and a passed capstone, “with Distinction” at 85%+. It is an EmptyCore certificate that shows what the learner built — not a government or university qualification.
Do we have to buy the kit?
No. Every course has a course only fee and a with take-home kit fee. The kit is handed over in session 1 and is the student's to keep. Kits are refundable only if unopened.
How do payments work?
- ₹1,000 registration holds the seat and is adjusted against the fee (refunded in full only if EmptyCore cancels the batch).
- Fees above ₹12,000 can be paid in two instalments: 50% at enrolment, 50% by the middle session.
- Fees for individuals include 18% GST.
What discounts are there?
One discount per enrolment (no stacking), on tuition only: early bird 10% (paid 15+ days before start), returning student 10%, sibling 10%, or a referral credit of ₹1,000 or 10% of tuition, whichever is lower. Path bundles replace single-course discounts; a referral may still apply up to a 15% total cap. One scholarship seat per batch at 50% tuition when the batch has 10 paying students.
What is the refund policy?
Full refund (less registration) before session 1; 50% of tuition before session 3; no refund after that. Kits are refundable only if unopened.
Does my child need to know programming?
Not for EC-01, EC-02, EC-03 or EC-07. Later courses build on earlier ones — see each course's prerequisite, or use the course chooser.
Do you run programs for schools or colleges?
College and corporate programs can be quoted for groups of 25+. A school curriculum is in development and not open yet — contact us if your school would like to partner.
